Peace and Comfort Card

I love making cards, but sometimes the reason for making a card breaks my heart. This is one of those times. I recently found out a dear friend and former coworker that has been battling cancer is terminal. I made this simple card to let her and her family know they're in my thoughts and prayers.

You're An Angel Thank You Card

I placed an order on Papertrey Ink recently for the Movers and Shakers dies. My goodies arrived Saturday and I had a chance to play. I used a die to create the slider part of this card. I also used some products from Close To My Heart's Spring / Summer Catalog that retire tomorrow. I guess it's about time! The paper is Footloose and stamp set is from the Footloose Workshop on the Go. The angelfish and sentiment comes from Under the Sea.

Hi Lady!

A quick card I made using the Daises and Ladybugs from Fred, She Said. The ladybug have liquid glass on them to make them pop. The daises sparkle since I used a Sakura Stardust Pen. This card also has new canvas shapes and olive / cranberry baker's twine that is in the Close To My Heart Autumn / Winter Idea Book and Catalog. It debuts on August 1.

FSS Friday Rose Card

It's Friday so I'm posting another Fred, She Said Creation. I gravitate towards the beautiful rose designs. Perhaps it's because they are my birth flower for the month of June? This one features digital paper too. I haven't purchased or used a lot of digital paper, but I love how it coordinates so easily with the precolored designs.

On another note I'm still in Dallas, but I'll be home on Sunday. If you follow my facebook page I hope to have some updates there.

Supplies:
Colonial White Cardstock (Close To My Heart)
Diamond Rose Precolored Digital Stamp (Fred, She Said)
Summer Roses Digital Paper (Fred, She Said and Bearly Mine Designs)
Kraft Color-Ready Borders (Close To My Heart) While Supplies Last Item
Durables Square Studs (Close To My Heart)

Washi Tape Ice Cream Card

Here is another card I made using the Washi tape that was a special buy through Craft TV.  (See yesterday's post.)  At this moment I'm in Dallas, Texas and this is the most exciting day! The first day of Close To My Heart's Convention where we get to see new product unveiled. (But really it's Sunday and I haven't left yet. I'm writing this post early.) Next week my blog posts will be about all the cool projects I create at convention!

Washi Tape Tree & Owl Card

At this moment I'm in Dallas, Texas anxious for the first day of Close To My Heart's Convention. (But really it's Sunday and I haven't left yet. I'm writing this post early.) This year Convention is missing my good friend Stephanie. So I made this card letting her know that I will miss her. I just got an order of Washi tape that was a special buy through Craft TV. I've been seeing this special Japanese tape popping up in a lot of places in the papercrafting world online.

Today I'm on my way to Dallas, Texas so I'm writing this blog ahead of time! One of the traditions at Convention is to exchange a gift with your roommates. My roommate is Jolene and she loves the Stella paper packet. So I made her a card organizer. This is the third card organizer I've made. I think it's such a wonderful, practical gift. You can find the tutorial here.

FSS Friday Hydrangea Card

It's a Fred, She Said Friday! My goal is to post a project every Friday showcasing the awesome digital stamp images at Fred, She Said. This card showcases an image from the beautiful Hydrangea Bouquet Colored Set. I decided to add Flower Soft to the image and then keep it simple as far as other embellishments.

Sunshine Card

It seems to me that "sunshine" is a trend in paper crafting. Check out this post  with a stamp set and dies from Papertrey Ink (on my wish list). This post features a stamp set from Hero Arts. To make my card I needed to improvise a bit since I don't have the dies or stamps. I cut strips of Sunny Yellow cardstock and Sunflowers cardstock. Then laid them down on my card base. I suggest using an adhesive like Dotto so the pieces are repositional. Once your background is created cut the pieces hanging over the base. Since this was so easy to do I'm wondering if I need to invest in dies and stamps!

Sentiment is from the July 2012 Stamp of the Month: Live Out Loud.
