Spring Card Making Day

Spring Fling aka Spring Card Making Day has become an annual event that CTMH consultant Joyce organizes. As part of her team I love getting together with other consultants. It's always an inspiring day of fellowship, crafting and food! Here are the projects from this year's event.

Box cards are so popular right now. I love this one that Meg created and taught. Her sample had a butterfly, but I forgot to put one on mine!

Stacey created and taught this Father's Day card. I love all the little finishing touches of shimmer trim, washi tape, and gems. I didn't even know we had this tool stamp!

Lori's card uses the Skylark paper beautifully. I love the shimmer trim and the gem for the bird's eye.
 Gotta add some sparkle!

My card, here's a post about it with a link to download a Cricut Craft Room file.

Joyce created and taught this shape card. There's plenty of room to stamp a sentiment I just couldn't figure out if it should be happy birthday, thinking of you, or thank you! I'll have to wait until I decide to give it to someone.

Another card Joyce created but Lori taught. I love the technique it uses with the quatrefoil embossing folder

Lollydoodle paper makes me happy! This is a card that Stacey created and taught. The colors on this card are so pretty. I tried my best to match them with Copic markers.

The next event will be our Christmas Card Making Day in September / October. If you are in Southeastern PA and would like to be notified of events please contact me.

Faux Punch Art Cow

I have a whole board on Pinterest for punch art. I'd love to make these items but I don't have all the punches necessary. So I improvise with my CTMH Cricut cartridges. This cow was made with shapes from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I've included a link to download the file at the end of my post. Enjoy!

I picked out my shapes and arranged the using the Cricut Craft Room software. The shapes can be cut out the same time if you piece your paper on your mat: a 3 x 3 black square, 3 x 3 pink square, and 6 x 3 rectangle of white.

You can see the shapes cut out: circles, ornaments, oval and a cupcake!

I took a black marker to add details then assembled my cow!

Wedding Invitations

When my nephew and his girlfriend announced their engagement last year, I immediately offered to help by making their wedding invitations. This weekend I finally finished them! The cardstock is Lagoon, Slate, and White Daisy. The glitter paper is from American Crafts. The Peacock Feathers and Wedding Couple are from a digital kit Flowers and Wedding Clip Art by FishScraps that I purchased.

Joyful Stars May Blog Hop

It's time for the Joyful Stars May Blog Hop! Welcome to those of you hopping from Andrea's blogIf you just stumbled upon this post, this is a circle hop so just continue around until you're back to the blog you started on to make sure you see all the fabulous projects.

This month Close To My Heart is celebrating National Scrapbooking Month with the Free To Be Me paper packet. Instead of scrapbooking, I put this paper to use for cardmaking!

The first project is a money card holder for a graduate. I love the happy color instead of traditional black, and the gold vellum dot paper is so pretty! In addition to the paper packet, I used a bow from the Ariana Assortment and a Hook and Loop Dot

The next card is for my dear mom! Lilacs are a favorite flower of ours, and I was so excited to see the special Hostess stamp A Mother's Love in the catalog, since it features lilacs! Instead of purple I went with Creme Brulee yellow lilacs to coordinate with the paper pack, and another bow from the Ariana Assortment is a perfect finishing touch.
