Snail Valentine

I had these adorable snails left over from Paper Pumpkin's treat box kit from January 2021. I made several cards using them, retired CTMH paper, and the December 2021 Sheet Load of Cards template. You can find the template by being a subscriber at Call Me Crafty Al's You Tube channel. 

 I love this non traditional color scheme of the card above! 

Sweet Mouse Valentine Card

Sweet Little Things was Close To My Heart's (CTMH) January Stamp of the Month. I made several cards using this stamp set, retired CTMH paper, and the January 2022 Sheet Load of Cards template. You can find the template by being a subscriber at Call Me Crafty Al's You Tube channel. 

When I saw this sweet mouse stamp I thought of one of my favorite children's book, The Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread  by Kate DiCamillo.

 "Love, as we have already discussed, is a powerful, wonderful, ridiculous thing, capable of moving mountains. And spools of thread."

Valentine Card 2019

A few weeks ago RG Studio 360 had a stamp bundle featuring Valentine bears. As a teddy bear fan and collector I grabbed this set before I missed out. I decided to use it for Valentine cards this year. The bear and inside greeting  of "Happy Valentine's Day" are from RG Studio 360. I used two different stamps from my stash for the "Hello Friend" sentiment. I used the stitched circle dies and paper form Close To My Heart. The bear was colored with Copic markers, and then I applied tan fun flock that I've had for decades! I'm not sure they make it anymore. 

Valentine Easel Card

I really love the beautiful designs of Anna Griffin. The pattern paper, floral stickers and flocked paper were recent purchases from HSN. I used several stamps from Close To My Heart for the sentiments For Family, Sentiment Stamp from Artfully Sent Cricut Collection, and Hello, Life - Scrapbooking (retired). Since it's a valentine I need to add some hearts and the Stuck on You Puffies (retired) were just perfect!

CTMH Animal Greetings Meets CRICUT Create A Critter

Animal Greetings is an adorable stamp set from Close To My Heart. What makes this stamp set even more precious is that for every set sold at $17.95 Close To My Heart is donating $7 to Operation Smile. 

Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from over 80 countries is committed to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. To date, the organization has provided more than 240,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.

D1679 Animal Greeting $17.95

For my C&S card design I wanted the animals to be bigger than the stamp image. I used the Cricut cartridges Create A Critter and Create A Critter 2.  I made these cards into valentines, but they can work for any occasion. 

Chocolate Understands Box

The last few days I've been taking old tutorials and designs making them into Design Space files to cut with my Cricut Explore. This chocolate box that fits Ghirardelli squares is one of those old tutorials! This would be perfect to make up for Valentine's.

I made my box with Close To My Heart cardstock, a retired Close To My Heart stamp of the month, and ribbon from my stash.

Buckle Card and Design Space Share

The January Joyful Stars Blog Hop was amazing! One of my fellow hoppers inspired me by sharing a unique design the "Big Buckle Card." The tutorial is on Splitcoaststampers. I took the tutorial and used that to make a project in design space to cut the pieces with my Cricut Explore. I used Close To My Heart's Paper Collection of the Month and Stamp of the Month to get a jump on some Valentine's Day Cards. If you would like to try the Design Space Project here is the link. Valentine's Day Layout

My nephew Ben and his finacee, Mary, have been a couple for several years. However, this Valentine's Day is special because now they are an engaged couple, and to think next year they will be celebrating as a married couple!

FSS Better Than Chocolate Card

Valentine's Day is four weeks away and I'm getting a jump on some cardmaking! This card features Fred She Said's Better Than Chocolate digi stamp. The sentiment is a retired Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month.

Valentine Treat Tubes

One of my favorite product lines from Close To My Heart is My Creations. These clear treat tubes are new in the Spring / Summer 2013 Idea Book and Catalog. However, they are currently back ordered  I'm glad I got mine in time to make these sweet treats for my coworkers on Valentine's Day.

The My Creations Treat tubes will be great for party favors and presenting small gifts. I even folded up cash to give my niece and nephews!

Valentine's Day at School

Keeping the theme of alligators I found printable valentines from Lettering Delights on sale for $1! At that price I picked a few collections for the future.

My Funny Valentine

I love the Fred, She Said sentiment that comes with the heart shaped box of candy. The inside says..."But to be honest, It was a very tough call!"

Pocket Box for Candy Bar

Here's another Valentine's Day project. I made these for my coworkers. I bought the template for the box here. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set. The paper is a retired Close To My Heart collection.

Hmm, is it a little OCD of me to be bothered that the candy bars are not in the same direction in the photo. I guess I'm getting better since I'm posting and not setting up for another photo. At least I think I won't....

Heart Treat Bag

I'm not exactly sure what to call this adorable Cricut project, but I think Heart Treat Bag works! The "bag" was cut using Close To My Heart's Art Philosophy cartridge. It also features this month's Stamp of the Month.

One more week to go until Valentine's Day! I have a few more projects to share.

Card Candy Valentine

This has been a great weekend. I've been scrapbooking, cardmaking and papercrafting. I used new paper collections from the Spring / Summer 2012 Close To My Heart Idea Book that debuted February 1. I'm also working on Valentine's Day projects.

Today I'm going to share a new template I purchased from My Time Made Easy called Card Candy. This project uses stickers from an old Close To My Heart card kit. I love the idea of having a cards that is a box for treats. I don't have Valentine's Day candy so leftover Christmas candy is pictured. I made this quickly just to get an idea of what it's like. I think it's a work in progress. I have six students and think I might make them to give. I usually do not give them candy so I need to keep out the party favor aisle for other ideas.
