I've moved on to a new paper packet! This one is called Topstitch. I love Close To My Heart's line of My Creations projects. The 5 x 7 Journal is new in the Spring Idea Book and Catalog. I designed this to be a journal that I can use for goals and inspiration. Right now I'm a bit overwhelmed with things I have several professional and personal goals. I'm hoping writing things down and breaking down projects will help ease the stress!

Somebirdy Loves Me
Joyce, my upline with Close To My Heart had a class of "bird cards". When I saw this card I had to make it. The birdcage is from a Cricut cartridge. I'm not sure which one, but it's one I don't have.

Veranda Layout
Here is one more project using the Veranda paper from Close To My Heart. Sometimes I create pages without having pictures in mind. In fact I have a box full waiting for pictures! For some people it's the opposite: a box full of pictures waiting for pages. This page design "Safe and Secure" is from Imagine.

You are so sweet!
I finally opened my pack of Veranda paper from Close To My Heart's Spring Idea Book and Catalog. This paper is beautiful! The card is also a copy of one in the Idea Book. It's difficult to see in the picture put I took my glitter gellyroll pen and colored the bird and flowers to make them sparkle! In the book the images were colored in with the waterbrush. I choose to use the solid stamps with the outline images. To blend the colors I stamped in the lightest colored ink then used a tissue to apply other colors.

Weekend Reading
There are quite a few series I'm in the middle of and patiently waiting for the newest releases. March 1 one of those books was released, Shift by Rachel Vincent. Last summer I read a free eBook by Rachel Vincent and loved it so much I sought out all her books. That's how I came across the Shifters series which was my beach reading in August. Shift is book 5 of 6. I really wanted to wait and read it this weekend, but I couldn't wait. I started reading it Monday evening and stayed awake to the wee hours of the night. I was really tired Tuesday! Now I have to wait until October for the book 6 and the conclusion of the series. IN the meantime I just may reread Shift!

Celebrate 12 Years!
Yesterday was my nephew's birthday. He turned 12 years old. The design for this layout is "Bottom Border Footnotes" from Close To My Heart's how-to book Reflections. I love how easy scrapbooking layouts come together with the how-to books.
