What a Hoot!

A few weeks ago I made these cards that were designed by the talented Nancy Brown. They are made with the August 2014 Stamp of the Month What a Hoot. I didn't think I'd want to get this stamp but I came home from her house and ordered it right away! With a $50 purchase the stamp set is $5, but only through August 31, 2014.

Penny Slider Card

Penny slider cards have been around for awhile. Today I used the Cricut Explore and Design Space software to create the card front for this card. Gone are the days you need an craft knife to cut slots in cards! This was also a day for me to use brand new product from the Annual Inspirations Catalog from Close To My Heart. SSS June 2013 Card Kit

I love card kits! Not only do I purchase the wonderful Close To My Heart Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kits, but also I subscribed to Simon Says Stamp's Kit of the Month. Last month on a retreat I used the supplies from the June 2013 kit to make these cards. Many of the finishing touches are from Close To My Heart including the bronze shimmer trim, which recently has become one of my favorite products!

I love Close To My Heart's Workshop on the Go kits. They are a great value and make papercrafting faster, simpler, easier! Last month I went on a retreat and had quite a few kits to complete. One kit was the beautiful Ivy Lane Cardmaking kit. 

What I love to do after I make the kit is to take the brochure cutting guide / directions and switch it up with different paper and stamps. That way the money spent on the kit becomes an even better value as I continually reuse that brochure!

Slider Window Cards

A few weeks back I purchased some SVGs of interactive cards from Lori Whitlock. I've been waiting for some down time to play! Sunday I decided to clean out my old rarely used stamp sets. I easily purged 100! But I also "found" some that I really love and haven't used in awhile. So that is how these cards came about. The barnyard animal and sentiments were perfect for the card design. I also grabbed my Jubilee paper scraps that work perfectly for this project. This paper is only available until July 31!
